Who Am I Anyway?
This is Me in a Nutshell!
Hey, I’m Neena Perez—chef, culinary educator, and Kingdom woman on a mission. I went from surviving childhood abuse, domestic violence, and teen motherhood to building a life fueled by faith, resilience, and a deeply rooted sense of purpose.
Food became one of the first places I felt safe, creative, and in control. While life was chaotic on the outside, the kitchen gave me a place to experiment, nourish people I loved, and watch small, beautiful transformations happen right in front of me. That love eventually led me into professional kitchens, culinary education, and years of leading teams and feeding hundreds.”
“But even as I grew as a chef, I kept seeing the same thing in women around me: they felt overwhelmed, ashamed, or ‘not enough’—in the kitchen and in their own stories. I knew God was inviting me to bring my healing journey, my training, and my faith together in one place.”
Why The Purpose Filled Kitchen Exsists
My journey has taken me from feeding thousands through culinary programs to walking with women through shame, leadership, and legacy—and one thing has stayed true in every space I enter: purpose is always on the menu.
I’m not just a chef. I’m a guide who sees the gold in women before they see it in themselves. Whether I’m in a kitchen teaching knife skills, encouraging a woman who’s afraid of “messing it up,” or mentoring students and underserved communities toward careers they never imagined possible, my mission is the same: to ignite what God put in them and remind them they were never meant to live small.
With a degree in Hospitality and Culinary Management and certifications in NLP, Positive Intelligence, and Life Coaching, I bring more than technique—I bring strategy, soul, and spiritual alignment into a very real, very practical space: your kitchen.
Now, through The Purpose-Filled Kitchen™, I’m pulling up chairs at the table for real conversations with real women, over recipes that feed more than bellies. This isn’t just food. This is faith, healing, legacy, and leadership—served hot in an environment that feels safe, warm, and deeply human.
Because purpose doesn’t start or end in the kitchen—but the kitchen is one of the best places to find it. And I’m here to help you discover that, one dish and one gathering at a time.
In my powerful autobiography, “Hit Me With Your Best Shot: How I Overcame a Hard-Hitting Life,” I bare my soul, sharing the harrowing details of my journey through abuse, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, and poverty.
My candid storytelling serves as a beacon of hope, reminding readers that even the darkest of circumstances can be overcome with resilience and determination.
